There are varying opinions as to the origin of Valentine's Day. Some experts state that it originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries. Legend also says that St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer's daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it "From Your Valentine". Other aspects of the story say that Saint Valentine served as a priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed for defying him. In 496 A.D. Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honour St. Valentine. Gradually, February 14 became the date for exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers. The date was marked by sending poems and simple gifts such as flowers. There was often a social gathering or a ball.

But in my school, many received flowers and gifts as a sign of friendship and love. Not surprising. >.< color="#ff6666">Valentine's Day from jo. >.<

Now, meet two LAMEOS from my tuition class, guywithspikyhair1 and guywithglasses. Man, this couple is sick to the stomach! Better watch out y'all

Guywithspikyhair1 came first. First thing's first, he's got a white collar t-shirt.. buttoned up to the neck, each sleeve parrarel to the other, and nicely ironed. Worst, he tucked in his white collar shirt into his big baggy blue diesel jeans with one pocket coming out and another one filled with his handphone. Man, when he comes in and sat beside me i was like.. OMG! does this guy has any common sense.. (*and i mean it.. not fashion sense but common sense..) tucking in your shirt? buttoning up to the neck? ironed sleeves? and diesel jeans.. wasted..

Second, guywithglasses. It was sort of drizzling soon after and i saw like this one guy running in from outside. i didn't paid attention until guywithspikyhair1 stood up and gave his pal a hi-5. WHOA. i was even more shocked when he's wearing a giordano 'me' t-shirt with a big.. yellow stain at his front tucked in with his school green pants. i almost passed out. he wore a black and white framed glasses with one side upper than the other lens. And his shirt is like.. dark brown with yellow stain?? WTF man!

Well, well. i may not have a good fashion sense by the way... when you're looking at how i dress myself.. but surely.. i do know about the don't and the do's while dressing properly.

for contestant number 1;

1) guywithspikyhair1 - throw your shirt into the laundry bag for one day then dump it into the washing machine before drying. then, iron the shirt only at the SIDES of the shirt before wearing. NEVER tuck in your shirt into your jeans. i know, i know it's expensive.. DIESEL jeans.. but hey, tucking in just makes you look FAT! Alright? Check your pockets to make sure that it doens't comes out and be sure to leave the top two or one button UNBUTTONED. You're a guy not a geek! if it adds, a belt might be catcy but don't over-expose your belt. just leave it, covered with your shirt.
Contestant number 2:

2) guywithglasses - Giordano 'Me' t-shirts are kinda cool, cheap and flavarable. But hey, shirt with STAIN ain't working ere'. What are ya? a big banana flavored dunkin donut? or the incredible hulk's little bro? YellowHulk? That stain is just ... horrendous..!! Take my word for it, TRASH IT! It's for MANKIND! And what's with the school pants? you're NOT in school.. hello... if you're in time to change your shirt then might as well change the pants. A pair of nice decent cargo pants or just jeans will do the trick! And your glasses.. change it.. it's for your own good..

And the WINNER is: ~ None of you!! my advice is, trash your fashion deeds and get some new ones.. ask your Levi's or the salesgirl at Parkson for god's sake. Gimme a call if you're so desparate.. SHISH>...

now, that was the end.. of GeekWhoGeekYou! Swt... what a day. man, i'll appreciate it if guys are much more creative in their outfits. there's plenty of brands going around. Well, maybe not just the brands but the BRAINS as well. me myself.. i know. i'm not fashionable.. at least i'm decent! Chinese New Year..!!

Today is the fourth day of chinese new year according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Many things happened these few days from day one to day three. Here's a simple preview of where i've been recently...
Day one:
Traditionally, my granparent's house then my aunts and uncles. Grab lots of ang pows. Seen my cousins and ate a whole lot! Then my mum's friends and relatives (Uncle Dennis, Uncle Ho and Auntie Jean)

Day two:
More of my parents friends... swt.. (Uncle Bong, Uncle Sim, Uncle Robin, Uncle Tan, Uncle Teck, Auntie Jennifer, Auntie Mary and my dad's aunties.. ) Boring!! (duh.. they're all OLD...)

Day three:

Practically the exciting part. it's off to stella's house for breafast together with eurica, karen and my family.. Then we headed towards katherine's. Met her cousin, Amanda form Penang! Whoo--ho!!! Then it's kelvin chan's house.. /gg (me, karen, euri, stella, kat, amanda). His house is cool. Nice cakes, nice tv, nice living room, big compartment, nice cushions and nice family... >.< Then, together with kelvin, we went to javier or should i say.. mr teo's house! hehe.. quite a surprise. It's his birthday! 31-january.. same as letha too. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y'ALL!!

Very paisehly, mr teo and his wife sent us to shaun's house for a visit. wahahah.. his parents are not at home. but hey, it's quite a big crowd in there with his brother's friends. Now, no transportation. How lucky of us.. my dad's busy with his friends, so is my mum and we do not have anyone to fetch is from shaun's!!! swt.. well 343343 came and saved the day. we called 2 taxis to bring us from shaun's to jilly's. wow,, i didn't know taxi drivers worked during chinese new year... 3 cheers for the cabs~!

At jilly's, we met paulynn, jenny, lelia, emily and elaine. huge crowd! took some pictures.. >.< then it's off we go.. lucky my dad's free now.. just before we decided to go home, there's just one more place that we had to visit.. Geraldine Olive's house.. wahaha. Her house is cool too. we ate there and played with her 'Eye Toy' (some camera for your ps2). Nice game.. well we all played except for STELLA~~ (*malunye~!) then ate then even 'ta paoed' candy stripers (whatever you called em') What a heck of a day.. i would like to elaborate more on the places i visited but opps.. another guest coming.. i'm half typing half serving now.. so.. TTFN (taa taa for now!)
